Does anyone here have experience with Ipower.com?

Over a 2 month period I paid for a domain via PayPal. Once the transaction was completed, I logged into ipower and found the domain account when i try to change the namesesrvers i could not get into the second lock account.
I then tried to contact them through LiveChat and many emails to access the so call account and what every access code they sent out it did not work. So the few months above went by and i type in the domain and found that someone else had it. BIG SURPRISE

I CALL them and for hours on the phone they told me that the account that i open had the email type in wrong. Why didn't they tell me the information was wrong to begin with???

If this is how they do support and treat customers then I would highly recommend that people stay well clear of them.

Does anyone else have experiences with these idiots?

Yea, I hate domain selling companies, because the big companies that sell domain usually have a lot a catches in their deal and the new ones, are sometime usually fraults. I am still trying to look for the perfect domain name provider.

Thats a really bad experience. Thanks for heads up and I'll avoid any such company.

My advice is to always use reputable domain registrars instead of 1 month old domain resellers.

im really sorry to hear about that.

What you could do is get a lawyer to settle these claims, once and for all.

If you make a wrong email entry and if the one lucky guy who owns the wrongly typed email uses the domain, then may be ipower.com could not do anything about it. Just my thoughts.

What is 'the second lock account'? When one comes accross it, through registrant's control panel?

Reputable domain registrars is certainly the way to go. There have been instances where new domain registrars have gone out of business, leaving the clients who had domain names registered with them in great difficulty...

IPower is the worst of the worst. I have had the most insane experience with those guys years ago and left me completely bitter as to how a company of that size and success can treat people like that.

Aren't they just a big reseller for tucows or something? I always had the feeling that they were not just Ipower... I forget why...
