Check out this tool that i just found-this site allows you to search for domains in real-time. Its limited to only .com,.net,and .org extensions..just type domain in the box..you'll see it real-time. What is real-Time? Not really sure but as soon as you start typing it will instantly tell whether a domain is avialable fot the letters/numbers that have typed.
