Won't the speed of the site be determined by the speed of your internet?
So the speed of this site will be different to somebody on dial-up compared to someone on cable

It is loading pretty fast. It looks good enough to me for the time being.

Should be even faster now ---- I removed the bookmarking script from each post and the pages are loading even faster..... That was the only thing holding up the post pages....

Yes and No. You can make a site faster per each experience, relative to connection speed. However, some improvements like removing scripts that run in the browser improve speed equally (assuming everyone has a similar speed computer.) Yes, this site does seem faster from my initial visits.

Best,

Justin

Overall the website is fast, which is impressive for a UK based ISP fetching pages from a US server
However, one thing that is slow are the thread link fetches
For example,
When I click on a topic, the new page opens, only the background is visible, there is a delay of between 10 and 15 seconds, then the content appears
It is the same for posting new topics and replies

That has been bugging me for a while... The same exact thing happens to me, and is actually the reason I posted this back then.... I wanted to see if it was happening to others..... It has something to do with one of the advertising tables..
