View Full Version : Goals for SEO
What were usually your goals why your doing SEO on your site?
-Boost adsense earnings?
-Make your site popular?
-Revenue from memberships?
I've asked this as there are others who don't have adsense and yet they work hard on SEO.

The main goals for SEO your site would be mainly to drive traffic and not for the adsense earnings.
Yes you want to get money, but first of all you need good traffic :P SEO is solely done to generate traffic and popularity into your website, 2nd would be to create money :P

Yes that's the most important thing, traffic. But why is it some sites having a decent PR and yet very low traffic?
My basic target is to drive traffic and when you have traffic it helps in all manners.
Like,
If you have a forum, you will get members.
If you have a content site, you will get clicks on your sponsors.
If you are selling something, you will get sales etc :)

My site is a directory so my goal is to build the strength of my site to benefit the sites that I list. The more of a boost the sites listed receive, whether it is pr or serps, the more I can charge for the benefit. By raising my serps I am also increasing my presence to potential submitters.
