View Full Version : Parked and gained PR
I have a site parked for a couple of months and after the update, I have gained PR2. I just have done some links on other sites but only a few.

That happens quire rarely but good for you...Where did you park it ?
In Sedo but I didn't do any SEO for that. So I'm wondering why it has gained some PR. But I'm lucky as I have sold that domain then.

You must have gotten higher PR-backlinks attached to it for it to be able to grow PR, very weird to have to gain PR if you have just parked it thought nice job.

Any links, even just a few can wind up giving you some PR.... If the sites have PR that are giving the links, then some of that PR is likely to leak through...

Got to love that leaky PR pipe..SPILL ON ME DAMIT :) O..Wait..you have ..:) lol..
I love websites...
Thats normal thing. Even if you leave a domain blank and get backlinks, you will see a PageRank. It doesn't matter if it is developed, parked or blank.

That is true. Backlinks are good like that good comment green rep added. :)
So it is still worth it if you build backlinks even if it is just parked. I'm just frustrated with parking as I haven't earned some.

I haven't earned much with online parking I think in total less then five dollars total. But building back links while a site is parked works just the same as getting back links for a site that is not. It will still improve the PR of your website.
I stopped parking my domains for now as I think its just not for me. I started selling domains and have few good deals right now.

I've never gotten into the whole parking domain name thing, but I had no idea they could gain PR. Someone must have linked to the site.

i liked your idea. but not sure whether it happens or not. then i don't under why ppl don't park the domain before using it. I mean, instead of working hard to get PR for blogs, you can park the domain , get Pr, then continue with it.
Interesting to hear, though 1plus does that for you. Park your domain and it automaticly starts linking in SE's

As long as we can increase the PR then it is okay already. For a start it is enough, but we must promote more after that to get money.

I'm afraid to park some of my domains mainly because they will get unindexed eventually..... I'm not big on parking.... I chose to redirect elsewhere in most cases or build a custom parked template.
