View Full Version : Domains not in use
I have some domains bought which were just set aside and not on use. I'm thinking of developing it instead to make a sale someday. Would it be a good idea then?

There are many good ideas. You would have to give a specific domain to get an answer though. Branding a site with an item is always a good way to work. OR maybe a good good arcade game site name for a good arcade do let us know.

You, could install my google adsense script that I placed up for auction. Its only $3 now, and it generates a lot of adsense money, or at least more than a parked sedo page.

The name also really matters :D Branding is key as well as backlinks and websites. If you are looking just to put something up there are tons of cheap scripts/tools you can put up that would be useful. If you have no other ideas though a great thing you could do is make it a PR-0 Directory and make links really cheap it would make more money then adsense for a little while ;). But unless you made the links monthly(which could be very lucrative) you would stop making money at some point N time. .10 c a word :D not great but not bad :)
Development is the key for non-generic names for better payment. However, when they are unused, you can always park them with Sedo etc. because any traffic which comes during this period on inactivity will even give you some revenue.

Yes :) It seems I have won this auction :D So you can no longer get it but you could purchase a script place it on the web and attach PR links to it so you get some use out of that if it was a web tool you might get return vists just an idea but I think that would work well. Especially if you only have it parked.

What are the domain names? Also, what niche do they cover? Depending on the names you could create an informational site, a blog, a web directory, or other types of sites. I guess, if you were to post some of the domain names, it would be easier to give you some ideas.
I run around 15 websites for now and I tried installing some scripts on them and I encountered errors so I gave up. I'll just focus on my existing sites for now.

How many people actually set up blogs..Do blogs have to be updated every so often or how exactly does that usually work? Maybe you can let me know as I have thought of putting up a blog before but not really sure how much that work would be all itself or rather it would be worth it or not to do the blogg...Considering the amount of time it would take to do the blogg posts ect. How much time do you use on your blogg's. What kind of money are they paying. I just don't see that as a good option as that requires alot of ADMING work.
