I would suggest getting your own domain than staying on subdomains. It would benefit you a lot in the future. If you don't want to spend, try to search for sites giving out free domains and you will find a lot.

Some people don't have Paypal accounts or a credit card, though. I guess that's why most decide not to buy one.

I've been wanting to have my own website with a domain for awhile but for some reason its too difficult for me! I think it's because once I pick a domain name.. its done with, and I can't change it. I get sick of things really easily.

Yes that is so cheap but some people were just starting off their business online and don't want to spend a single buck. So they usually search for those giving out free domains. I also have a credit card but I try to find other ways to fund my Internet expenses through other means not from my own pocket. And yeah some don't have access on the payment processors online.

Sure it is cheap, but how is the service? Is it possible to get "cheap" and have good service at the same time? I am positive that could be done, unfortunately all I seem to read says those are incompatible.

Yes - Cheap and Good Service is very possible..... It is here:
http://domains.searchen.com

When you are ready, give Searchen a try.... And I'm not just saying that cause I'm involved with it.... It's one of the cheapest with 24/7 phone support.

Is searchen a reseller of Godaddy? If so they would probably be a good one to try. I just hope they will have some promotions for a cheaper domains.

Godaddy is a good place to get domains I would agree with that. getting a dedicated server is always a good idea too.

you can earn some money before buying a domain name. there sre several options do to that.
one would be :) get paid to stumble (http://techmake.blogspot.com/2007/07/get-paid-to-stumble-earn-quick-money.html)

search for others. just earn 8$ and buy your domain.

Before this I used only blogger.com for my promotion. Even I got a lot of sales promoting in Malaysia market, but I want to start to have my own domain. People said my sales will be increase if i have my own website. What is subdomains?

If I get a searchen domain name, is there going to be any restrictions about where I can host it? Do they require me to do the hosting with them only?

Is dedicated server necessary when you are starting? I don't think so. Could some body clarify, please
