Domain Name Front Running??

I read this interesting article on Domain Name Front Running (http://www.dnhour.com/story.php?title=Domain_Name_Front_Running#) and there is a term of 'name spinners' used in the article. Could anyone explain what is name spinner and what do they do?? :confused:

"It is a practice of stealing someone’s domain name search queries and registering the domain name before the original person can register it..."

So in otherwords.... Someone in a position to watch the searches being performed on a registrars website like Godaddy is watching, and when a domain name is searched for but not registered, they can see that there is some type of interest in the dmoain name - so they buy it, before the other party has a chance to return and register it... Many people check availablity before they buy to inform a client or test the idea of registering a name....
