View Full Version : Purpose
What's your purpose of getting an IDN? Any reason behind? Will it really help your site's standing? Its very expensive and cost around 6 times than the regular domains.

Me too ---- I steer clear of the IDN's, but for some reason alot of people like them - not sure why...... I owned two .cc's in the past --- I thijnk they were $45 though... Much too pricy...
Maybe it is for those large companies so at least they will be recognized? It must have some advantage then coz of their prices.

I am sorry, I am really losed here. What is a IDM and what is it used for?

IDN is referred as Internationalized Domain Name. You can register any language domain name.
An Example: ¢ent.com (I dont have other foreign characters on my keyboard, otherwise I'd post few more :p)

If 6 times of the price of regular domain means that better we avoid the IDN.
My opinion, better spend money on other method of promotion.

I think that you may register IDN at the regular price (around US$8 ~ US$9) on many website, but not [cost around 6 times than the regular domains]
