Alright, I am starting a website to try and help kickstart my buisness. We sell window decals as well as custom bumper stickers. Now to my question is godaddy a good site to buy a domain name from? It says 8.95 a year that sounds really good to be truthful. Has anyone had any workings with godaddy? Or any domain name website? Also is there any hidden fees that I need to know about.

As far as I've heard on most of the Forums, alot of people have their Domain names from Godaddy. Just try it out and I guess it will be good to be true :)

I bought my site at $6.50 each from godaddy. But if you want a 15% discount from godaddy, please feel free to PM me for a discount code. I also get some of my domains from domainlagoon.com, which I would recommend you to use if you are planning to only use it for one year, because they give it to you for free after completing some offers but they charge $9.50 for renewal and $7 for transfer
I would agree with neoakenz to acquire for a free domain first. Domainlagoon is quite good too but if you want, you cna just purchase it from Godaddy using the coupon to be given by neo.

I thought the Coupon you got didn't work please explain thanks.
Godaddy.com is the most reputable registrar out there but a newbie might face some difficulty in understanding their interface system. You can also try NameCheap and DomainSite, they both are also very reputable.
I have some domains in Godaddy and Namecheap but not in domainsite. How about there support? how's your experience with them?

DomainSite.com is excellent registrar and their support is quite good. I started to use them when they were offering IDN registrations and never had any problem with them.

I have both namecheap and godaddy accounts.... They are both great registrars.... No problems at all.
I am scared at times to try other registrar especially on what happened to registerfly. So I usually just stick to my previous one.

Which one do you currently use I am pretty sure most people use Godaddy.com that is a great way to be secure with your webhosting you may want a dedicated server instead though so you can hold your own domain names and not let a hosting company hold them for you so you have no possible way of it being taken away from you.
I'm with Godaddy and Namecheap as of the moment, but I have a lot from Dotster so when it nearly expires I will sell or transfer them.
