Someone else using my company/domain...
So, I have an unusual company name and domain. I have been using both for over 10 years. I thought I had all my bases covered by owning as many domain versions and....well...there is not any other company named gomodesign...so who would register a gomodesign domain.

Well I found out that someone has. I just do not know what to do. There is someone now with the domain gomodesign.co.yu.

What the heck is that? I didn't think you could have an identical business domain doing the same business.

My name comes from the fact that my first name is Maureen and "mo" is the nickname..Go! Mo! design...okay makes sense.

Can I stop this company? They are obviously not in the US, but I do work all over the world with companies and vendor all over the world.

any advice? suggetions? Help? I work REALLY hard, and this stinks

A customer questions whether or not our site is secure, is there some certificate/statement that I could E-mail to assure them? Should I have a statement on our site? This happens about 2-3x per week and I used to think the padlock in the lower right-hand corner indicated a secure site.

No, there is nothing you can do
You could contact the agent that issues .co.yu and file a dispute but unless you have a bottomless pit of money it's not worth it
So long as you have the main Domain Name for your country, .com and .net then that is usually enough

I agree..... The best cource of action is probably to contact the agent that issues .co.yu and file a dispute, but unless you have a real strong case, federally registered mark, etc.... It' probably not worth the time and money..... I have spend a great deal of both to lock-up some of my domains and get trademarks for them.... I tend to register the .com, .net, .info, .us, .ws, .org, .biz, if I am really serious about a name, but there are other people in other countries that register the name under a .ru, or .cn or something crazy like that... In reality, it's not really going to effect my business.... I figure, let them get popular in their country, and I'll likely take their traffic. I know how you feel though...
