Keyword Density

What do you think about high keyword density? Does it help or harm in SEO. I have heard that MSN and Yahoo put lot of emphasis on high keyword density, but Google hate it (I only got to know about it after I found seo expert (http://www.experts.us)).

Wouldn't high keyword density will be treated as black hat technique by most search engines? Black Hat seo means to use negative tactics to bring your website on top of SERPs, you can learn more about black hat seo here (http://websearch.about.com/od/seononos/a/spamseo.htm).

Please share your experiences if high keyword density gave positive or negative effect on seo (http://www.experts.us/seo.html) of your website?

If you do the key words for the bots alone, then google will consider it black hat. If you create the key words for human reading then it will help in PR.
