Expired domain PR removed?

Oct 23 I was trying to capture a domain that I had researched quite abit.

It was 7 years old with a PR 4 and had 11,000 backlinks between google and yahoo. I had clicked on many of these links to make sure they were intact.

Needless to say I didn't get the capture. I left the back order on just incase.

Well today Oct 26 I get an email that i am capturing this domain. I am excited and start researching it again. Everything that was on this domain is now gone

It is 1 day old, is a PR 0 and has 3 backlinks!!!!

I clicked at least 100 backlinks to this domain just a few days ago.
Now I don't know if I want this domain
Any idea what could have happened? The other registar had it only 2 days.

It is an adult domain by the way.

hey fatback, welcome to the community... I do the same thing before buying a name on the drop..... I'm not sure how that would happen so quickly but I have always felt that Google will treat a domain differently if it actually expires accordin gto the whois info... But sounds kinda quick.... Unless Google just did a back link update after it expired or went down and it's dropping the domain...

Sounds like it is still worth it though if those backlinks are in tact...
