I've always considered buying one of these, but it seems that the opinion constantly sways
between:
Google will maintain PR if you don't change registration information
Google will maintain PR if you don't change site content
Google will NOT maintain PR regardless what you doAnd the many other "urban legends" that are about...

Anyone have any real experiences with these domain type of purchases, and a maintained PR / traffic flow?

Alot of things happen to a domain when it drops, as far as Google... Once the domain name expires, Google's trust for the domain gets seriously changed. It almost starts over.... But a lot will depend on inbound links..... Strong inbound links can change almost anything....

Google does like to see the theme of a web site stay the same. The whole PR thing though is iffy... Just because the domain drops doesn't mean the PR will definetly disapear if the links remain, it just is easier to happen...

Dailyearner,
I do not believe that this is a "I have a domain for sale" post.
So there is no max price, as OP is not offering one for sale :)

Best Regards,

Martin
